I think I love Zach Vex. Not only can he be thanked for Matt Bellamy's guitar sound on the middle two Muse albums, he also is now a total legend for this.

In my opinion, anyway.

PS He's alos a legend cos the bass fuzz pedal he makes, the Woolly Mammoth, makes my bass make filthy noises.

...I've somehow come to win cheap tickets to this year's Bloodstock Open Air this coming weekend. Ensiferum, Stratovarius and others? Power metal-fest ahoy!

(And yes, I know I'll come back from it smelling very strongly of cheese and mullets, but I could never forgive myself for turning down the chance to see Ensiferum live)

...so it turns out my computer doesn't like me anymore. Or, someone didn't like my computer being happy and decided to kill it. Either way, I'm off t'internet access chez moi for the time being. I was happily sitting there, tinkering in photoshop, with a few websites open in Opera in the background, and *poof*, winamp stops playing music, and everything locks up. Permanently.

*Reboots*

*notes network connection is absent*

"A network cable is unplugged, despite the fact that the cable is totally still in the formerly working machine."

*Add new hardware wizard pops up*

"We're having difficulty adding this new hardware you've added. By this, we mean the network card that has previously been working happily for about six months. We don't seem to have the drivers for it, because we decided to delete them. We can try looking on the internet for you though, except offering this is stupid because you're currently *not connected*! Also, we've messed up the network bridge on your computer so you can't even seem to get that working, even if the card itself was working. Which it isn't."

*cries*

Of course, being the silly thing that I am, I don't have the original driver CD for the card with me at uni (because *Windows said it didn't need it when I first installed it*), so for the time being, I have no regular internet access. Feel free to still email me and comment on this (sympathy and useful advice is welcome). I daresay I'll become a regular in the uni computer labs to still keep in contact but I can't guarantee anything.

Oh yes, a virus scan with an up to date copy of McAfee came up with nothing, I'm currently not thinking its a virus. Though I guess someone has to get a virus like this before the antivirus software can protect against it. Either way, it came up with nothing when I tried.
